Azienda Agricola Badia A Coltibuono
- The new winery was constructed to be not only technologically advanced but also to have a sound environmental impact. This is an obvious confirmation of the dedication of the owners to the culture of Chianti Classico and Coltibuono's centuries-old presence in the zone.
Although it was conceived with criteria of respect for the landscape and its spirit, the winery has an absolutely modern aspect. Its design meets today's standards and displays a contemporary aesthetic clearly inspired by the great Italian architectural tradition of the classical and Renaissance periods.

It was here, in 998, that Otto III, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, issued an edict transferring the possessions of the church of Arezzo to the Siena Committee. Fonterutoli was again the site, in 1202 and 1208, of the signing of the peace treaties that determined the historicassignment of the Chianti region to the Republic of Florence.
