"Chianti" has sparked passion into the souls of lovers of good food and wine all around the world.
This Passion for the earth, good wines and olive oil inspired the Galardi brothers, Alberto and Carlo, descendents of a long line of Florentine traders to acquire the estate of Tenuta di Poggiopiano back in 1935.
It marked a significant turning point in the history of the family which has since then dedicated itself exclusively to the production of wines and olive oils and later on to the production of agricultural farm implements and machinery: mills, olive-presses and systems for pressing grapes and extracting olive oil.

Il Mandorlo
- The properties of the Azienda Agricola Il Mandorlo extend south of the village of San Casciano Val di Pesa, in a region traditionally renowned for the production of wine, among the Chianti Classico hills.
The 26 hectares which develop around the wine farm are dedicated to the typical productions of the area and part of them (approximately 15 hectares) is covered by specialized vineyards at an altitude between 250 and 300 meters above sea level.

- Villa Le Corti is surrounded by its farm-estate; approximately 250 hectares dedicated to the region's typical production: Chianti Classico wine and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
About one-fifth of the land (49 hectares) is devoted to vine-growing.
In 1995 the vineyards were replanted and the average density of vines per hectare passed from the traditional 3000 to the present-day 6000. Sangiovese, the finest vine used to produce Chianti Classico DOCG, is cultivated in most of the vineyards.
