The farm-estate of Panzanello is located in Panzano, a part of Greve, in the heart of Chianti. The ancient farm extends over 110 hectares of land cultivated with vines and olives, at an altitude of 480 meters above sea level . Already back in 1427, according to the historical registry of Florence, the quality of the wine and oil produced at the Panzanello farm, then property of Franciescho di Ugolino Ciucci, was described and extolled. Today the farm is family-run by Andrea and Iole Sommaruga, a young couple who with experience and professionality satisfy the demands of a large clientele with a taste and affinity for wine. The winemaker is Gioia Cresti, master taster, who takes care of and overlooks the making of the wine. Since 1998, Panzanello has been recognized as an Organic Farm.
